Crowned Jaboticaba /Plinia Coronata is a very beautiful, rare, and dark-colored jaboticaba from the Myrtaceae family. It is one of the most unique and the flavor profile is that of Sabara jaboticaba but with an aftertaste that hints at floral bubblegum or even root beer if picked very ripe. Taking down a freshly-picked bowl of these is an absolute pleasure and a fun change from the other more common jaboticabas which taste more similar to each other. The pronounced crown at the sepal is stunning and varies dramatically in size - a real feather in mother nature's crown. 60%+ pulp by weight bears a few times per year after 2-5 years of fruiting if kept irrigated and fertilized. It takes 6 to 7 years to set fruit from seeds
