Plinia Coronata "Olho de Boi Selection" Jaboticaba is a selection of Olho de Boi with larger and sweeter fruit than regular Olho de Boi (English: Eye of the Bull). The Jaboticaba tree is 3-10 meters tall in its native range in Brazil, with an elongated and dense crown, and is native mainly to the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. The fruit is currently (December 2021) the largest known Jaboticaba with the largest recorded fruit at 5 cm, and commonly producing fruit at 4 cm. The glossy black globose fruits are sweet when fully ripe and have a pronounced crown at the apex which is light in color. From seeds, it takes 5 to 6 years to set fruits
