Jaboticaba Branca Vinho (Plinia Phitrantha )Fruit Plant

Branca Vinho/ Plinia Phitrantha is a rare and outstanding flavor of the Jaboticaba variety. The fruit of this jaboticaba is similar to red jaboticaba but with thicker skin, one defining characteristic is that the rubbery textured skin often has sharp little prickly points sticking out of the skin up to 2mm with up to 20 per fruit. If kept irrigated and fertilized It bears a few times per year. It takes 4 to 5 years to bear fruit from seeds.
